Development Roadmap 2024 #1

Welcome to the first exclusive blog post for supporters! As you have noted, we have a membership tier where you can support our development and get exclusive news about the app first hand.

Since the release of v1.1.0 we have shifted our focus to the next major release.

v1.1.1 (Coming soon)

• A minor release with bugfixes and adjustments.

• Fixes an issue where the flag marker was missing for placed GPS flags in the map view.

• Increased size on map markers.

• Increased label text size on map marker.

• Fixed map size on screens with smaller resolutions.

• The map markers now update their position every 3 seconds, without having to reopen the map.

v1.2.0 (Next major release, TBD 2024 Q2)

We have just released the "Visual Overhaul" update! Here is a summary of all the changes in this version. We now have a Discord server! Join now: https://discord.gg/V69PKfEz

• The flag is replaced with a high quality model.

• The golf ball tracer is now semi-transparent for better visibility.

• Added HDR light estimation for more realistic lightning (Android only).

• Updated underlaying AR frameworks (ARCore for Android and ARKit for iOS).

• The map should now automatically adjust to most screen sizes.

• New visuals and icons in the Scorecard.

• Improved "Scorecard" and "Reset Ball" buttons.

• Adjusted the visibility of the arrows in the compass.

• Increased max distance of flag and ball distances in the compass.

• Updated icons in the map.

• Updated main menu and added an exit button.

• Changed the color of some texts to white instead of green.

• Fixed a bug with the power indicator when completing a hole.

Development Update Blog #2

It's been a while!

We have been hard at work with the next update of Golf AR Anywhere and we can finally share a sneak peek of what we have been working on. The theme of the next coming update is "Visual Overhaul"!

In preparation for an even larger upcoming update, we wanted to address some of the graphical elements of the game first:

New main menu.

• The flag has been replaced with a high quality model.

• The map now fills the entire screen with visual improvements.

• The "Scorecard" button is improved and shows a flag icon instead.

• The compass now have a white map icon in the background to indicate that it opens the map.

• The ball tracer is now transparent.

• New main menu background.

• More minor graphical changes.

What happened to Golf AR Anywhere Lite?

We have unpublished the free Lite-version of our app. As we are a small company with limited resources, we are now fully dedicated on bringing updates to the main app, which is also a bit cheaper now.

What's next?

As we finish the "Visual Overhaul" update, we will switch focus to the larger update we mentioned above. Stay tuned and keep an eye on our blog posts!
